Quotas System

Quotas System

Some platform features and resource limits can be partially or fully restricted by the selected hosting provider. These restrictions are controlled through account quotas and can differ between Trial and Billing accounts.

How Quotas Work

Hosting providers can define limits for specific platform options and resources. For example, a provider can restrict whether public IP addresses are available or limit the number of cloudlets that can be assigned to an individual container.

Feature Availability Quotas can enable or disable capabilities such as public IP addresses, Built-in SSL, custom domains, or high-availability clustering.
Resource Limits Quotas can restrict environment counts, node counts, cloudlets, disk capacity, bandwidth, and other resource ceilings.
Many restrictions are commonly applied to Trial accounts. Upgrading to a Billing account can automatically unlock broader platform functionality, depending on the hosting provider.

View Account Limits

The current permissions and quota values for your account can be reviewed directly from the dashboard.

Dashboard path: open Quotas & Pricing → Account Limits.
Quotas and Pricing Account Limits
The Account Limits section shows which resource and feature quotas apply to Trial and full accounts.

Available Quotas

The source lists the following account-level quotas that can be controlled by the hosting provider:

Quota Description
Maximum environmentsMaximum number of environments that can be created.
Nodes per environmentMaximum number of nodes allowed in one environment.
Nodes per layerMaximum number of nodes allowed inside one node group or topology layer.
Maximum server sizeMaximum size of a server in cloudlets. The source defines one cloudlet here as 128 MiB RAM and 400 MHz CPU.
Disk space per nodeMaximum disk capacity available to a regular node.
Disk space per storage nodeMaximum disk capacity available to a storage node.
External network bandwidthMaximum external network bandwidth available to the account or environment.
High-availability clusterControls whether high-availability clustering can be configured.
Public IPv4Controls whether public IPv4 addresses are available.
IPv4 per environmentMaximum number of public IPv4 addresses that can be assigned within one environment.
IPv4 per nodeMaximum number of public IPv4 addresses that can be attached to one node.
Public IPv6Controls whether public IPv6 addresses are available.
IPv6 per environmentMaximum number of public IPv6 addresses that can be assigned within one environment.
IPv6 per nodeMaximum number of public IPv6 addresses that can be attached to one node.
Trial periodDefines how long a Trial account can be used.
Minimum account balanceMinimum amount of money that must remain in the account before a new environment can be created.
Built-in SSLControls availability of the platform’s Built-in SSL feature.
Custom domainsControls availability of custom domain functionality.

Trial vs Billing Limits

Trial accounts can have lower quotas or unavailable features. After the account is converted to Billing, the provider can apply the full-account quota set and unlock additional platform functionality.

Provider-specific behavior: upgrading does not mean every provider uses the same values. The exact quotas available to Billing users are still defined by the selected hosting provider.

Request a Quota Increase

If the current limits are still insufficient after upgrading the account, contact the hosting provider and request assistance with increasing the required quota.

Examples include requesting more environments, additional nodes, a larger per-node cloudlet limit, more disk space, or additional public IP addresses.
Quotas System summary: the hosting provider controls account feature availability and resource ceilings. Review the active values under Quotas & Pricing → Account Limits, upgrade from Trial when appropriate, and contact the provider when larger limits are required.
