Navigation between Environment Groups

Organising applications into environment groups makes the dashboard easier to use. You can quickly switch between groups, move through nested subgroups, filter the environment list, and return to the complete account view.

Select an Environment Group

1Open the Env Groups menu

Click Env Groups above the environment list. The menu displays the available top-level groups and provides access to group creation and management.

2Select the required group

Click a group name to activate it. The dashboard immediately filters the environment list and displays only the environments assigned to that group.

The active group is shown in the navigation panel above the environment list, so the current dashboard context remains visible.

Navigate through Nested Groups

Environment groups can contain an unlimited number of nested subgroups. When a child group is opened, the complete path is displayed as a breadcrumb-style sequence.

Each item in the path is clickable. Select a parent item to move one or more levels upward without returning to the complete dashboard list.

Nested filtering: A parent group can represent the complete project, while its child groups can separate components, regions, teams, or lifecycle stages.

Navigate through Environment Tags

Assigned groups are displayed as tags in the Tags column beside each environment. Click a tag to open the corresponding group directly.

When an environment belongs to a nested subgroup, the tag can be displayed as a path with parent and child names separated by a slash.

An environment may have several tags. Selecting any one of them changes the dashboard context to the chosen group.

Return to All Environments

Click the main Env Groups item at the beginning of the navigation path to clear group filtering and display all environments available to the account.

Opening a new environment from inside an active group can automatically assign the new environment to that group.

Access Group Actions

The active group provides an actions menu for common group-management operations. Depending on the selected item and access permissions, the menu can include:

  • Add Child — create a subgroup beneath the current group.
  • Edit — rename the group, change its colour, select a different parent, or update assigned environments.
  • Remove — delete the group tag without deleting the included environments.
Removal behaviour: Removing a group detaches its tag but does not delete or stop any environment that belonged to it.
