Memcached Configuration

Memcached exposes its main server configuration and a dedicated directory for application private keys through the platform configuration file manager. These files can be edited or uploaded directly from the dashboard.
CONF Main Memcached configuration file: /etc/sysconfig/memcached
KEYS Private-key storage directory: /var/lib/jelastic/keys

Available Configuration Files

The Memcached node exposes the following configuration locations in the platform file manager:

Folder: conf File: memcached
Path: /etc/sysconfig
Folder: keys Path: /var/lib/jelastic/keys

CONF — Memcached Configuration

The main Memcached configuration file is available inside the conf folder. Use this file to manage the server settings exposed by the platform.

The underlying file represented by the memcached item is located at /etc/sysconfig/memcached.

Configuration changes: Edit only parameters you understand and validate the Memcached service after making changes. Incorrect values can prevent the cache service from starting or accepting application connections.

KEYS — Private Key Storage

The keys directory is intended for private-key files required by your application or integration.

  • Generate the required private key.
  • Save it as a regular file.
  • Upload the file into the keys folder using the configuration file manager.
  • Reference the uploaded key by its filesystem path from your application or configuration.

The key path uses the following format:

/var/lib/jelastic/keys/{key_file_name}
Private key uploaded to Memcached keys folder
Upload application private keys to the dedicated keys directory.
Key security: Treat uploaded private keys as sensitive credentials. Restrict access, do not expose key contents in application logs or public repositories, and reference them only from trusted application configuration.
