Configuration File Manager
The Configuration File Manager allows users to browse, open, edit, create, upload, download and manage application configuration files directly from the application management interface. Use this page to explain the complete process with your own screenshots and instructions.
Open the required application or environment and navigate to the configuration file management section.

The file manager displays the available folders and files in the main working area. You can navigate through the folder structure and select the required file.
Available File Management Options
The page may include the following common file-management actions:
- Create File โ create a new configuration file in the selected folder.
- Create Folder โ add a new folder for organising files.
- Upload โ upload a file from your local computer.
- Download โ download the selected file.
- Rename โ change the name of a selected file or folder.
- Delete โ remove the selected file or folder.
Working with Configuration Files
Follow the steps below to open and modify an existing configuration file.

1. Open the File Manager
Open the required application and select the configuration file manager option. The folder and file structure will appear in the working area.
- Use the folder path to move between directories.
- Select a file to view the available actions.

2. Select the Required File
Click the required configuration file. The file can be opened in the editor, downloaded, renamed or deleted depending on the available permissions.

3. Edit the File Content
Open the selected file in the editor. Review the existing content and make the required changes.
- Use the search option to locate specific text.
- Use line numbers to identify the required configuration section.
- Make only the necessary changes to avoid configuration errors.


4. Save the Changes
After completing the changes, click Save. Confirm that the system has saved the updated file successfully.
Creating a New File or Folder
- Open the folder where the new item should be created.
- Click Create File or Create Folder.
- Enter the required name.
- Confirm the action.

๐กTip:ย While saving the made changes in any config file, the confirmation pop-up will appear. If you feel confident and want to skip this message in future, tick the โDo not show this dialog againโ option. As a result, all the further edits will be instantly saved without re-asking for confirmation. This setting will be applied for all types of config files in all of your environments.

Uploading a File
- Open the destination folder.
- Click Upload.
- Select the file from your computer.
- Wait until the upload is completed.
Important Notes
- Always verify the selected directory before creating or uploading a file.
- Do not edit protected system files unless you understand their purpose.
- Keep a backup of important configuration files.
- Check the application after saving important configuration changes.
Expected Result
- The required file or folder is created, updated or uploaded successfully.
- The updated configuration is saved in the correct directory.
- The application continues to work with the revised configuration.
๐ก Note: the already opened files will be automatically reloaded for the corresponding nodes upon switching.
