Create Collaboration

Create Collaboration

A Billing account can act as the primary collaboration account and share selected environments, environment groups, and permissions with additional users. Collaboration is managed from the account settings through the Shared by Me and Shared with Me sections.

Open Collaboration Settings

Most collaboration-related operations are available from the account settings panel. Open the dashboard and click Settings in the upper-right corner.

Account Settings button
Open the account settings from the dashboard.

The collaboration section contains two main areas:

Shared by Me Used by the primary account. It contains Members, Roles, and Policies tabs.
Shared with Me Used by collaboration members to review and manage invitations and shared resources available to them.
Collaboration settings menu
Use Shared by Me for primary-account collaboration management and Shared with Me as a member.

Send a Collaboration Invite

Go to Shared by Me on the primary Billing account where the environments are hosted.

1Create a role

If no suitable role exists yet, open the Roles tab and add one.

  • Name — enter a role name.
  • Description — add an optional explanation.
  • Policies — select the actions this role is allowed to perform.
  • Receive Load Alerts Notifications — enable this when members using the role should receive load-alert notifications for shared items.
Add collaboration role
Create a role by selecting the policies that define what collaboration members can do.

2Invite a member

Open the Members tab and click Invite. In the Invite Member dialog, configure:

  • Email — email address of the person being invited.
  • Display Name — optional custom display name.
  • Shared Items — select the environments and environment groups that should be accessible to this member.
Invite collaboration member
Select the member, shared items, and required role permissions.
Several roles can be assigned to the same component. The source uses Ctrl for selecting multiple roles and Alt to replace all previously selected roles. Different subcomponents can have different roles.
  • Hover over a role to review the policies it includes.
  • Create a new role directly from the invitation form when needed.
  • Environment groups can be added, edited, or removed from the invite form through the group settings control.
  • To let a member create environments at the account root, share the complete Environments category and assign a role that includes the required permission.
  • A single environment can also be shared directly through that environment’s configuration.

3Wait for acceptance

The invited member appears in the Members list with a pending-acceptance status until the invitation is processed.

Collaboration invitation pending acceptance
The member remains pending until the invitation is accepted or rejected.

The primary account can follow invitation-status changes on the Members tab and receives an email notification after the invitee makes a decision.

Manage Collaboration Members

After a member has been invited, the primary account can select that member and adjust the collaboration at any time.

Edit Change shared components and permissions.
Copy Reuse the same shared-resource and permission configuration for another user.
Suspend / Activate Temporarily disable or restore collaboration access.
Remove Terminate sharing and remove the current shared-resource/permission assignment.
Manage collaboration member
Edit, suspend, copy, or remove an existing collaboration member.
If a member is already signed in while permissions are changed, the dashboard may need to be refreshed before the new access rights appear.

Terminated collaborations are kept as records rather than disappearing completely, which allows the primary account to re-invite or reactivate the former member later.

Re-invite collaboration member
Previously terminated collaboration records can be reused to re-invite a member.

Accept a Collaboration Invite

1Open the invitation email

When the primary account sends an invitation, open the email and click View Invitation.

Collaboration invitation email
Open the collaboration invitation from the registered email address.
New user: If the invited email address is not already registered on the platform, an account for that address is created automatically as part of the invitation flow.

2Accept or reject the invitation

After email confirmation, the platform dashboard opens a dialog where the invitation can be accepted or rejected.

Join collaboration confirmation dialog
Confirm whether you want to join the collaboration.

The invitation does not have to be processed immediately. It can be handled later from Settings → Shared with Me.

Accept collaboration invitation from Shared with Me
Pending invitations can also be accepted from the Shared with Me section.

3Access shared resources

After acceptance, the platform confirms that the collaboration has been joined and displays the newly shared resources.

Added to collaboration notification
The platform confirms the collaboration and summarizes the shared resources.

The member can now see and work with the shared environment or group according to the permissions assigned by the primary account.

Shared environment visible to collaboration member
Shared resources appear in the member dashboard with access limited by the assigned role policies.
Collaboration workflow summary: primary Billing account → Settings → Shared by Me → create or select a role → invite a member → choose shared items and permissions → member accepts by email or Shared with Me → shared resources appear according to the assigned policies.
