Install the WordPress Environment

Start by deploying a WordPress website from the platform Marketplace. Depending on the project requirements, you can choose either a standalone WordPress package or a clustered WordPress package.

WordPress packages in the Marketplace — Select the WordPress package that matches the required deployment architecture.

1Open the WordPress package

Select the required WordPress Standalone or WordPress Cluster package from the Marketplace.

2Enable WooCommerce

In the package installation settings, enable the Install WooCommerce option. This automatically installs the WooCommerce plugin together with the required components for the online store.

The WordPress package can also include other advanced features such as LiteSpeed, brute-force protection, Web Application Firewall, Let’s Encrypt SSL, and WordPress Multisite depending on the selected package and requirements.

Configure WooCommerce

If WooCommerce was not enabled during WordPress package installation, you can install the plugin manually from the WordPress administration panel.

Search for the WooCommerce plugin, click Install Now, and activate it after installation.

NGINX note: On an NGINX-based WordPress installation, additional configuration may be required when using W3 Total Cache together with WooCommerce to avoid plugin conflicts.

Run the WooCommerce Setup Wizard

After WooCommerce is activated, WordPress opens the WooCommerce Setup Wizard. The wizard guides you through the main store configuration steps.

Click Set up my store to begin the guided configuration process.

2Describe your business stage

Select the option that best describes the current state of the business, such as starting a new business, already selling, or setting up a store for a client.

Choose WooCommerce store state — Select the option that best describes the current commerce journey.

3Enter store details

Provide the main information about the online store.

Store Name — the name of the online store.
Product or Service Type — the category of goods or services the store plans to sell.
Store Location — the geographical location of the business.
Email Address — the contact address used during store setup.

4Select optional extensions

Choose any additional plugins or integrations that can help with security, marketing, product promotion, or store management. These options are optional and can also be configured later.

5Wait for WooCommerce configuration

WooCommerce completes the initial setup and prepares the store dashboard.

Add Products

After the initial setup is complete, the store still needs products before it can be launched for customers. WooCommerce provides several ways to populate the catalog.
